Hello everyone and welcome to episode 5 of the PM for the Masses Podcast. It is great to be back home after my two-week pilgrimage trip in Brazil.
Today I bring you the one-and-only Cornelius Fichtner, of the PM Podcast and PM Prepcast fame.
If you are nor familiar with his work, Cornelius is not only the host of the most popular Project Management Podcast in iTunes, but probably the person who has trained and helped the most people get their Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. He is an accomplished project manager, a wildly successful project management educator, and also knows a thing or two about running a business, internet marketing, and leveraging an online presence.
Cornelius is a household name in the world of PM training, and in my interview he will share with us the exact number of people he has helped prepare for the PMP exam. As one of the thousands of people who used his PM Prepcast to prepare and pass the PMP exam on my first try, I am a huge fan of Cornelius’ work and it was an honour to speak with him on this episode.
On today’s episode I also share with you the winner of “The Lazy Winner” book by Peter Taylor.

Main Takeaway
Cornelius’ number 1 tip for standing out in the PM field is “passion”. Discover your passion and create something with it. During the interview he shares how he took his passion for PM, his passion for breaking down complicated concepts into easy to understand bits and created a training program that has helped tens of thousands of PMs get their PMP certification.
