Project Management and the Movies: Episode 49

Nothing illustrates the concept of a project better than the creation of a movie.

According to the Project Management Institute, a project is “a temporary group activity designed to produce a unique product, service or result.” From an objective perspective, the creation of a movie precisely fits the definition.

But the parallels don’t stop there: movies are projects involving budgets, schedules, team building, resource management, storytelling, leadership, and vision.

Today I bring to the show Patrick Coffin and Dustin Kahia, producer and director/writer of the upcoming “Call of the Void” movie.

Patrick and Dustin share with me not only the moviemaking process and management, but also insights on what makes a good story good, and a variety of other topics.

You will also learn how you can support and become an insider as they create this beautiful movie using the Kickstarter platform.
