Hello everyone and welcome to the Project Management for the Masses Podcast, my name is Cesar Abeid your host, and this is THE podcast about project management and project managers. Thanks again for listening! I wish I could give each and every one of you a hug, and depending on your ethnicity this would be very awkward. But I digress!
Today I bring back the delightful Farnoosh Brock, but instead of talking about getting promoted as we did back in episode 16, today we will talk about going out on our own and starting our own business as a PM.
If you have had the desire to start consulting on the side, or start any kind of business but perhaps feel a bit of uneasiness leaving your current job, or would like a place to start, this interview is tailor-made for you.
So here’s Mrs. Farnoosh Brock! To listen, press the “play” button on top of this post.
I don’t know if you remember back on episode 0, I promised you 20 episodes of the PM for the Masses Podcast. Well my friends, I’m glad to officially cut the ribbon on episode 20! I can’t believe how fast time has passed! I hope you have been enjoying the show, and I can tell you I will continue to produce it and am ready to promise you another 20 episodes. Thank you for your support and amazing feedback.
It has been a crazy few days in the Abeid household with the arrival of baby Lucy this past Thursday night, so I am a couple of days late with the release of this episode!
My wife Amy was an absolute champion, delivering our third baby at home, using no drugs. Lucy was 6lb 12oz and is a happy, healthy bundle of joy. Well, except for last night. I was up at 1am and let’s just say it’s now 11AM and I’m still up. But it’s all worth it!
Thanks to those of you who have sent me messages through email and social media congratulating us on the new addition. It’s great to be able to share it with you!
I would love to hear from you.
Have you started your own business after leaving a good job? Or have you started a new business at all? Please share it with us below, I would love your input.
